What’s on my 2024 Vision Board and How to Start on Your Own

Spread the love

It’s already over halfway through January and time to check in on where you’re at with your resolutions. Are you where you want to be? Are you holding yourself accountable to your goals? What support systems have you put in place to remind you not to give up on yourself and the things you’ve deemed to be important? If you don’t pause and take time to reflect on these things, how could you expect yourself to stay on track?

Every year since 2018, I’ve made myself a Vision Board, and I highly recommend the process to anyone who wants to get deliberate and intentional about working towards their goals. Instead of clippings from magazines and pictures of things, the things that I want usually come through as words, so I guess you could call it a Word Board instead of a Vision Board, but to each their own.

You can find ideas and instructions in my previous Vision Boarding and Resolution Setting posts here:

My process changes and evolves with each passing year. This year, I refined my method to the following prompts:

1. Top 3 Priorities

2. Mantras / Word(s) of the Year

3. Big Goals

4. Financial Goals

5. Affirmations

6. Monthly Intentions

Here are a few printable worksheets that you can use to narrow down your vision for what you want this year to be all about:

Some things I put on my board for this year:

Top 3 Priorities:

1. Aviation Career

2. Human Relationships

3. New Income Streams

Words of the Year:

Connection and Consistency

“Connection – the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” – Brené Brown

“Consistency is the superpower that turns average into extraordinary. It’s the foundation of success and the key to unlocking your potential. Keep showing up, keep pushing forward, and watch your dreams become reality.” – (Unknown)

“Commit to consistency, not perfection. You’ll get further, faster by taking messy action than by taking no action at all.” – (Unknown)

Affirmations:

I am happy. I am healthy. I am strong. I am safe. I am worthy. I am positive. I am blessed. I am thankful. I am loved. I am confident. Today will be great.

Monthly Intentions:

I fill these in month by month, but January’s was to get up at 6 AM each day. These intentions sort of take the place of New Year’s resolutions, and my intent is to use them to build healthy habits throughout the year. Sometimes we get wrapped up in trying to do too many things at once and work towards multiple goals at once and then beat ourselves up when something slips. I find that when I pick one achievable habit to commit to each month, it creates momentum. Give yourself grace on the days that you slip, but read your intention each day and recommit for the next day.

For February, I’m going to get intentional about keeping in touch with friends that live far away.

What’s on your vision board? I’d love to know your goals for the year and if you have a word or mantra for 2024. Questions about developing a vision for the year ahead? Comment below.

Cheers!

Sarah
